How do elephants and people share the land?
Is it possible to do so safely?

Shy and secretive outside protected areas, elephants manage to survive on heavily human-dominated landscapes. We're using trail cams to study how elephants behave when they think no one's looking, in order to better understand what really goes on vs. what people perceive.

It's one thing to love elephants.
It's quite another to live with them.

Elephants and people need to share the landscape safely. We're working with agricultural communities to understand their needs, focusing on households averaging a median income of just $2/day per adult. We believe people and nature can thrive together.

How your contribution helps

$10 would provide school supplies for 1 child or purchase 10 seedlings.
$25 would purchase 25 seedlings or help us pay national park fees for a month.
$50 would provide 2 weeks of fuel for our team.
$100 would cover one day of field visits with farmers, employ local helpers for a month, or help furnish books and teaching materials for one classroom.
$500 would cover costs for working with 5 villages, service rent and utilities for our field office for 2 months, or help equip a preschool with playground equipment, furniture, water and electricity or other basic needs.
$1000 would cover salaries of 3 field staff for a month.
$5000 would cover salaries of 3 field staff or other program running expenses for 5 months.

Up to $99: Friend - Receive our newsletter and a shout-out on social media.
$100-$999 OR recurring monthly donation for any amount: Bronze sponsor - Receive all of above, plus personalized thank you and signed art-quality elephant photo print.
$1000-$4999: Silver sponsor - Receive all of above and invitation for an in-person tour in Sri Lanka for up to 6 people.*
$5000-$9999: Gold sponsor - All of above, opportunity for partnerships and ongoing personalized updates.
